Founded in 1888, Utah State University has changed from a small, agricultural college to a college that is nationally and internationally recognized for its intellectual and technological leadership in land, space, water,  and life enhancement.

As the state's land grant and space grant institution, the school is led by President Stan L. Albrecht and has Eight hundred and fifty faculty who provide education for more than Twenty three thousand undergraduate and graduate students, including seven thousand in its continuing education locations situated throughout Utah.

With 7 colleges, more than Two hundred majors and One hundred and thirty research-related classes, Utah State University can count 4 Goldwater Scholars and a Rhodes Scholar among its graduates over the past 5 years. Student centered, hands on learning opportunities are plentiful as Utah State University attracted more than $186 million in research funds last year. These research dollars, along with dedicated faculty mentors, have inspired more than One thousand students to pursue their own research projects every year.
