Bossier Parish Community College is a public two-year institution located in Bossier City, Louisiana. The college offers courses in programs in areas of study such as behavioral sciences, business, liberal arts, communication and performing arts, nursing, and engineering. Students can earn an associate’s degree, certificate diploma, technical diploma or work towards a four-year degree by completing university credit courses. It has a small student population of approximately 6,500, keeping the student to teacher ratio small and on-campus community close-knit. Athletics Department at Bossier Parish Community College
The athletics department at BPCC is under the student services division and is also a member of the National Junior College Association. The department seeks to provide student-athletes with outstanding educational opportunities by providing athletic programs that promote self enhancement and the building of community. It emphasizes non-discrimination and is a promoter of student equality and diversity on campus and in the playing field.
The Cavalier Athletic Foundation exists primarily to carry out fundraising activities and events to support the athletic department and its programs. It also encourages student-athletes to be actively involved in other facets of campus and community life. The department also has a cheerleading team to support the Cavaliers in times of competition.

The athletic programs at Bossier Parish Community College include varsity sports with teams in baseball, men and women’s basketball, and softball. The athletics department also offers intramural women’s basketball for female student-athletes who cannot commit to the rigors of a varsity team. A limited number of health, fitness and recreation classes are also offered through the athletic department and change on a per semester basis.

The Bossier Parish Cavaliers are members of the National Junior College Association Division 1. In addition to competing at the intercollegiate level, the Bossier Parish Cavaliers host sports camps and clinics for children and youth in the community and engage in a number of community service projects, fostering team spirit and cooperation beyond the games and ensuring that all student-athletes continue to enrich themselves.

While there are no scholarships set aside specifically for student-athletes, there are many opportunities for receiving financial aid while attending Bossier Parish Community College. Scholarships at Bossier Parish Community College are awarded by the BPCC Foundation and are divided into either academic scholarships or memorial awards. To qualify, all applying students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, be either a part or full-time student and express financial need.
