When will I know if I am Eligible with the NAIA?
When you register for the NAIA Eligibility Center, you’ll create a personal profile that features both academic and athletic information that will help qualify you for eligibility at NAIA schools. After you’ve registered, you’ll be required to provide official transcripts and test scores. Once they have all the information needed, your profile will start to get processed by an NAIA representative.
Your profile will remain in a “Pending” status until everything has been received and your eligibility has been cleared. The NAIA Eligibility Center receives thousands of registration packets so it will take some time to process everything. Once you’ve been cleared, your status will change and you’ll be officially cleared to play sports at an NAIA school.
It’s possible to receive an early eligibility decision with the NAIA. Students who complete their junior year with an overall GPA of 3.0 and score at least an 18 on the ACT or 860 on the SAT may be eligible to receive an early decision. In order to do this, you have to register with the NAIA Eligibility Center and have your high school transcripts and test scores sent to them.
