Athletics Department of Arcadia University
By mapping a comprehensive master plan, the athletics department of Arcadia University is able to address the students’ physical fitness and athletic needs today and for the years to come. A major part of this plan is to continuously upgrade facilities used in competition and recreational purposes. Non-varsity students benefit from friendly and fun intramurals, which give them a refreshing break from their demanding academics and at the same time making them fit and with increased mind alertness. The facilities available for recreational players and student-athletes include the Alumni Gymnasium, where basketball and volleyball games are held and has an upper-level running track; the Lenox Pool, a six-lane, 25-yard, NCAA standard swimming pool that is wave-resistant; the Dome, a multi-purpose facility that includes an artificial grass surface ideal for intramurals and recreational activities; the Blankley Field, an NCAA regulated softball field; the Easton Field which is used for lacrosse, soccer and field hockey; the Haber Green with its natural grass surface and is suited for recreational sports and activities; the Weiss Courts, a tennis facility of NCAA standards; Ernie Field for Baseball; Red Wing Farm for equestrian; Lulu Country Club for golf; and the modern Sports Training and Fitness Centers.
Athletic Programs of Arcadia University
The varsity sports program of Arcadia University focuses primarily on its intercollegiate sports teams. The Knights has a line-up in men’s sports including baseball, basketball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and tennis. The women’s teams comprise basketball, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball. Equestrian is a co-ed sport. The student-athletes take pride in representing Arcadia in the prestigious National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).

Being branded as a Knight also means having successfully passed the tough selection procedure of the official sports team, the Arcadia University Knights. These opportunities are an honor and at the same time a responsibility to the student-athlete. The Knights inspire their student-fans with their excellent performances in academics and athletics which have to meet a set standard. Inside the sports arenas these athletes are fierce competitors using skills and brute force while inside classrooms they are studious and diligent. Recent individual honors by the Knights appreciated by the fans are a slot at MAC Women’s Soccer Academic All-Conference Team, a slot at the MAC Men’s Soccer Academic All-Conference Team, a slot at the MAC Field Hockey Academic All-Conference Team, MAC Honor Roll to Arcadia Fall Sport Student-Athletes, Rookie of the Year and All-Star Team honors in Women’s Soccer and the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic Performer of the Year.

Arcadia University supports the college degree aspirations of up to 99 percent of its full-time undergraduates through need-based or merit-based grants and scholarships. Merit and co-curricular merit scholarships form the bulk of this financial aid while federal and state grants, student loans and campus employment are the added aid benefits. Generous donors come from the alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the school. The school also facilitates outside scholarships which may be available for the students through the Office of Enrollment Management which also assists parents and students decide on the best financial aid possible.
