The athletics department of Auburn University – Montgomery supports the physical fitness of all students in all levels of activity from athletes to recreation-participating students. The department’s success is also largely due to the cooperation and enthusiasm of the students in joining sports activities. Aside from the intercollegiate athletics, intramural sports include basketball, swimming & diving, bowling, Co-Rec soccer, softball, golf, ultimate Frisbee, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. To enhance sports and fitness participation, the department offers state-of-the-art facilities like the Plainsman Park for baseball; Auburn Arena for basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics, specifically in the McWhorter Center; the Hunt/Western Seat Ring for equestrians; Jordan-Hare Stadium for football; Auburn University Club for golf; Soccer Complex for soccer; Jane B. Moore Field for Softball; Martin Aquatic Center for swimming & diving; Yarbrough Tennis Center for tennis; and the Hutsell-Rosen Track for track & field, xc.
