Black Hawk College Athletic Scholarships
Black Hawk College is a community college established in 1946 and is found in Moline Illinois, USA. There are over 6,400 students enrolled. Black Hawk College was originally known as Moline Community College and in 1961 changed to its present name. The courses offered are liberal arts, adult education and vocational education. Additional campuses are located in Rock Island, Kewanee, East Moline and Galva.
Black Hawk College was granted accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools; the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education and the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission. The Illinois Community College Board also recognizes the school.
Athletics Department of Black Hawk College
Black Hawk College athletes are fortunate to have guidance from the athletic department from recruitment to earning a college degree. Athletic training is provided while maintaining the physical fitness and health of each athlete. Academic aspect of a student athlete must not be neglected. Athletic facilities in the Quad-Cities include gym, batting cages, and the Aquatic Center while athletic facilities at East campus or Kewanee include the Ag Arena and the Agricultural Center.

There are numerous clubs and organizations created in Black Hawk College. Some are related to hobbies or special interest, departments, fraternities or sororities, sports, politics, military and others. There are many advantages of joining clubs or school activities. Participation in student activities will enhance skills that will later on be helpful in later life especially after college. You may even start your own club.
OFFICIAL SPORTS TEAM: Quad Cities Braves / East Warriors
The Braves and the Warriors compete in various intercollegiate sports events regionally or nationally. They are a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) member. The Braves also compete in the Illinois N4C Conference, and the Arrowhead Conference. Sports played are golf, basketball and baseball for men and volleyball, softball and basketball for women. The Braves have made their school proud in bringing honor by winning at the Arrowhead conference.
Guide to Athletic Scholarship at Black Hawk College
Black Hawk College offers scholarships in both campus sites which are the East campus and the Quad Cities campus. There are more than 200 scholarships both for full time and part time students. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic abilities, area of study and financial need. Scholarships at Black Hawk College is either Endowed scholarships or Annual scholarships, Private scholarships, Presidential, or BHC achievement awards.
Interested student athletes may apply for the BHC Achievement Awards or the Presidential Scholarship, which are for full time enrollees and meet the requirements of the Athletic Department by gaining and maintaining a 2.0 GPA. Academic awards are also given to athletes with an outstanding GPA in a school year.
